Hot water emergency in Bellevue Hill
Bernie lived with his large family in their home near the shops in Bellevue Hill. Theirs was a new house and thus far, Bernie had faced little emergency repairs except for the one time when his son had run an experiment and tried to change the tap washers himself.
They had five bedrooms. The master bedroom was on the ground floor. There were three bedrooms on the second floor and a spare bedroom was on the third floor. The spare bedroom was used only when guests came.
That weekend, they were expecting a large group of friends to drop in for dinner. Bernie was checking all the bedrooms before the guests dropped in when he noticed a strange problem with the hot water pipes in the spare bedroom on the top floor.
When he turned the cold water, everything worked fine. Then, when he turned the hot water on, the water pressure started to dwindle. When the knob was turned to full blast, there was a mere trickle of hot water from the hot water tap. Bernie tested the other hot water tapt at the sink. That one was working fine. It seemed like there was some problem with the seperate hot water system for the top floor.
Bernie was no stranger to plumbing emergencies and blocked water pipes. He understood that it could be a simple or complicated problem. He could probably handle the problem himself. But, with guests coming, there was a lot of work to be done around the house and he couldn’t expect his wife to take care of everything while he tinkered with the hot water heater
“It’s going to wipe away some money, but I’m better off with a pro here”, decided Bernie.

He spoke to a handful of people and one name kept popping up again and again. He decided that if these guys had so many references, they might be worth a try. Yes, these guys had to be good!
